Nisan Dag graduated from Columbia University’s MFA Directing program with Fulbright Scholarship in 2013. Dag rose to prominence five years ago with her debut feature Across the Sea, which competed at Warsaw Film Festival and awarded at multiple festivals. After it’s Turkish theatrical release, Across the Sea was acquired by Amazon Prime in the
USA. Nisan directed an episode for MTV’s documentary series ‘REBEL MUSIC’ where she discovered the underground rap scene in Istanbul that led her to write and direct “When I’m Done Dying”.

Synopsis
Fehmi, a 19-year-old aspiring rapper from a rough neighborhood of Istanbul, is addicted to bonzai, a cheap and deadly drug, jeopardizing his dreams of becoming a successful rapper. When Fehmi crosses paths with Devin, a 25-year-old affluent DJ, they fall hard for each other and find the inspiration they were lacking. But the flaming and troubled love of this unlikely duo soon becomes toxic.
