Ozel was born in 1980 in Konya, Turkey. At the age of 17, he has started to work at movie and advertising sector as a camera assistant. Since then, he has been taking partin many TV-Series and feature films as cinematographer. In 2008, he took part in the production stage and worked as cinematographer in the movie “Mommo – The Bogeyman” with Atalay Taşdiken. His first feature film “Steppe” which is written and directed by him was awarded by 56th Antalya Golden Orange International Film Festival (2019) in 10 categories

Synopsis
An ongoing dam project necessitates the evacuation of Ahmet and his nephews’ village, but Ahmet refuses to move into a new house despite his nephews’ insistence. The nephews ask his estranged son, Harun, to come to the village to prevail on him. However, there is nothing easy about this reunion between a father, who thinks his son blames him for his wife’s death, and a son, who couldn’t stop his father burying his mother in the garden. The dam waters are rising fast and time is running out..
