Synopsis

In November 1993 a man in a small village in Turkey, closed his eyes to life. The history, tales and native language of a thousand years old people were also gone with him. A bird flew away, one of the windows of the College de France in Paris was broken for no reason. In Oslo, the sea fluctuated differently with this death. That man was Tevfik Esenç., the last representative of the Ubykh people who were exiled from their homeland after losing the Caucasian-Russian war. In the footsteps of this last Ubykh, this documentary tells his story.
