Synopsis

After surviving the massacre of her family in a Taliban raid, Leyla clings to the hope of finding her missing son, Omid. In a world where being a woman means death, she dons her husband’s clothes and beard—borrowing his masculinity to pass unseen. Along the way, she encounters a silent boy in a place where young boys are forced to serve, dressed in borrowed femininity. As the shadows close in, Leyla must choose between continuing her search for Omid or protecting the innocent before it’s too late.
