İlkay Nişancı (b.1976, Ereğli) studied Radio-TV and Cinema at Istanbul University, completing his master’s and Ph.D. in Journalism. He has worked as director, cinematographer, and editor in short films, documentaries, fiction, commercials, and music videos. As a faculty member, he taught directing, cinematography, and editing, mentoring award-winning student films. Also a musician, he composed for TV docs and released two albums with rock band ELA. He is now an assistant professor and artist.

Born in 1982 in Sakarya, graduated from Istanbul University's Radio-TV Cinema. In 2003, he represented Turkey at the Cannes Lions Advertising Festival's Lions Academy section. In 2004, he established DNA FILM and produced numerous music videos and commercials. He has in two feature films as executive producer. Fıçıcı's latest work, 'Eko Eko Eko', 14 episode documentary is on HBO Max.

Synopsis
